Amelia Bullmore and Darren Tighe star in the hit new BBC drama Riot Women which is available to watch now on iPlayer.

Amelia Bullmore and Darren Tighe appear in Sally Wainwright’s new BBC series Riot Women, which is streaming now on BBC iPlayer following its BBC One premiere on 12 October 2025. The six-part series stars Joanna Scanlan, Tamsin Greig, Rosalie Craig, Lorraine Ashbourne, and Amelia Bullmore.

Amelia plays Yvonne, a midwife and the band’s lead guitarist, one of five women who form a punk band and turn up the volume on midlife.

Darren Tighe features as a Duty Sergeant, joining the wider ensemble for Drama Republic and the BBC.

Set in West Yorkshire, the drama balances humour with heart as the band write songs, face old frustrations, and rediscover purpose, friendship, and joy. Critics have highlighted its energy and emotional clout, with coverage across UK media since launch.
