Penny Layden in new musical Coven at the Kiln Theatre, opening 31 October and now extended to 17 January 2026.
Penny plays Martha/Judge in a company led by creatives Daisy Chute and Rebecca Brewer with music and lyrics by Chute and Brewer and book by Brewer, directed by Miranda Cromwell. The show draws on the history of the Pendle witch trials, reimagined through anthemic new music.
Kiln Theatre has also released a new video from the score, “Burn Our Bodies,” performed by the cast, alongside a first listen of “Care.”
