Zalie Burrow’s Hope Bourne shortlisted for a British Audio Award
Hope Bourne, written by Just Voices’ Zalie Burrow, has been shortlisted for Best Performance: Ensemble at the 2026 British Audio Awards, also known as the Speakies.
Written by Zalie and starring Dame Eileen Atkins and Alex Jennings, Hope Bourne is a two-hander inspired by the remarkable life of the Exmoor writer, artist and environmental campaigner. The production comes from Wireless Theatre.
The official shortlist celebrates the strength of its cast, highlighting the warmth and quiet resilience of Eileen Atkins’ performance alongside the depth and sensitivity Alex Jennings brings to the production.
The Speakies, organised by The Bookseller and The Stage, celebrate excellence across British audiobooks, audio drama and podcasts. This year’s winners will be announced at the Southbank Centre’s Queen Elizabeth Hall on Monday 23 November.
