Christina Kowalchuk voices ‘Ludmyla’ in BBC Radio 4’s A Short History of Tractors in Ukrainian
We’re delighted to share that Christina Kowalchuk lends her voice to the role of Ludmyla in the brand new BBC Radio 4 adaptation of A Short History of Tractors in Ukrainian, now available to listen to on BBC Sounds.
Adapted from Marina Lewycka’s best-selling novel, this lively and heartfelt drama follows two feuding sisters brought together by their father’s plans to marry a much younger Ukrainian woman. It’s a sharp and funny exploration of family, immigration, and identity in postwar Britain.
Christina brings warmth and energy to the role of Ludmyla in a production that’s as full of character as it is heart.
